Meteorite | Diogenite | 0,5-0,8 g
Product detailed description
Diogenites are a type of achondrite meteorites that come from the crust or upper mantle of asteroids. They are composed mainly of pyroxenes, which gives them their characteristic texture and composition. They were formed by the crystallisation of magma and are evidence of volcanic activity on asteroids. They are most commonly associated with the asteroid family Vesta, where they formed billions of years ago. Their composition gives us a better understanding of the processes that took place in the early history of the asteroids.
